 @b3eacad3  the corollary:
Him: I want to give her as much space as possible because I know she likes to sprawl.
Her: For fucks sake, he doesn’t even want to be anywhere near me!
 I was just thinking about how hilarious it was that in the original superman comics he was a repo...
 @e6b06cd1 Today's Republicans, and earlier Democrats, the Confederate Widows, and the f*#$ing Confederates before them have never been far wrong when estimating what they could get away with by using the stupidity of a fair number of the U.S. populace. The question is really . . .who will vote? The Stupid and the Racist, or the rest of us?

Personally, I think counting on a fair-minded, insightful, or ethical media is a fools errand. Unless we regulate it.
 #Fensterfreitag From this past July, this one is a bit of a cheat. Technically speaking, Delicate Arch *isn't* a window. The National Park Service calls it a 'freestanding arch'. But there *is* a window arch in this image. See if you can find it.

 @ca5977db I've seen scales like this mentioned elsewhere and always took it for granted that the numbers were right. But I was curious what this scale was, and what that meant for the orbits of Jupiter and Pluto. So rough calculations show this is 5.42 billion to 1 scale. And if the sun was on the goal line, Jupiter would be the length of the field, past the endzone, and about 10 rows up into the stands. (147m from the basketball.) Pluto would be 1.1km away. (And yes, Earth is at 27m.)
