My cousin got into wood working years ago. He was finding real wood furniture at garage sells and estate sells made decades ago that were painted over multiple times as they passed through generations and fads/styles changed.
He was snatching them up and stripping them and dimensioning them out into stock for his projects. Building new furniture.
It's amazing what people would paint over. Wood lovers have heart attacks over those finds.

Maybe I'm just too nostalgic but I love older "artifacts" like this from decades past. Simple and eloquent
The styles, the real wood. Even with a bit of modern tech splashed into it would sit right with me.
I wonder if their would be a market demand for quality reproductions of this stuff. It would cost quite a bit to make these days. Just fun to think about.
I'm starting to get offended by the "modern" styles which are everywhere and you can't avoid it. Ugly shit everywhere.

I've been spelunking around this moron's posts on Twitter/X for some time. This dipshit is utterly retarded. Fake intellectual. Just as brain dead as Sam Harris.
Complete clowns living in a false reality bubble. Pathetic.
Frustrating how some people look up these clowns as *the smart ones*.

"Common sense <insert agenda codename here>" or "comprehensive <insert agenda codename here> reform"
is all communist code speak for pushing their agendas.
It's so obvious at this point and all you have to do is notice it.

The tipping thing on card payment terminals everywhere now is just ridiculous. It's social conditioning to make it "the new normal".
Maybe I should bring a tip jar to the meetings at work.😂
@ba92f80a
Oh sh*t! Don't even get me started on the tip jar BS. I'm a strong supporter of tipping in the services professions when it's earned but this tip jar at the counter for someone performing (most of the time in my experience) at satisfactory levels is absurd.
Just bitching-
My local O'Reilly Auto Parts: Every singe time I go in takes 15-20 minutes minimum to get checked out and out the door. One employee behind the counter checking out customers AND pausing to engage in customer calls AND 2-3 employees on the floor stocking or meandering Around. WTF?
A few days ago I stop into a quicky mart for beer. Second in line. 1 cashier. Customer in front of me arguing over lottery tickets for 5 minutes. THREE employees behind the counter talking inventory.😡
