A game of "Operation" in which dominant/submissive pair uses a neon Wand on the submissive. Operating areas (increasingly sensitive) are drawn on the submissive with permanent marker. Points are scored based on the duration of wand contact (in seconds) with each operating area before the submissive flinches or cries out. D/s teams compete against each other. Highest point title wins a "Shock Slut" collar (Activated by QR code) to wear at kink events until the next competition.

Keep in mind, I write #erotic romance and #erotica. I use a pseudonym to stay anonymous. Sadly, the subjects I write about are not always accepted for the art and creative outlet they are. I work in an industry where they include “moral candor” clauses, putting me at risk.
With my spouse? Anytime! She encourages me & is aware. Blame her for the books! 🔥

Interesting! If they are offering a paid version to opt out of AI scaping and data sharing, I'd love that. If it's only to opt out of seeing ads, that is far less helpful. Especially if one is paying and still having their data scraped.
I agree though that the current practice of selling data (not just to advertisers, BTW) without significant restrictions is a problem.

Character development, world-building, plot- how much attention do you pay to each?
Characters: I find reference photos that help me visualize their appearance. I write a short back story to bring them to life📸
World-building: Locations are from my experiences in the Midwest or from my travels. My stories are character-driven. 🌎
Plot: I have an idea of where a story will go, but my characters show me how they will get there.

If it helps anyone decide whether to include a photo or not, I've never bought a book because of the author's photo. Never.

I have a full time job, so I don’t get as much time to write as I like. Sometimes, my brain is too worn from work when I do get free time. But those times when I get into a flow state are awesome. Ideally, a few times/week I try to write for 1-2 hours. If a flow state doesn’t happen, I try not to get frustrated with myself and spend time on promoting my content instead.

@99019452 Twitter(x)’s new privacy policy starts 9/29. If all goes as plans, I’ll be off Twitter before then. Followers were part of what kept me there, but also I have many author friends there. Sadly, many of hose friends haven’t made the leap to Medium. The writing community on here is still growing, but I wish it would grow more quickly.

Honestly? What keeps me writing is the fact that I have readers! I love my readers and try to learn what interests them. I strive to improve my stories, and my own self criticism likely slows my writing. Every time someone reads my book, leaves a review, or shares my title, I get a delicious tingle.
