The interest of rich people on longtermism reminds me of:
- attributing monarchy to an alleged divine will;
- authoritarian bureaucracies crushing the people in the name of the greater good while firmly attaching themselves to power

Vejo com bons olhos os investimentos europeus em infraestrutura para revistas de #AcessoAberto sem taxa de publicação (via diamante). Alguns são regionais, mas outros beneficiam a todos, inclusive à América Latina. Melhor ainda quando esses investimentos se integram com projetos da PKP como o OJS, que tanto beneficia o Brasil e região.
