Why did we need the military industrial complex in the past?
Why did we need guns, tanks, aircraft carriers, drones, and nukes?
Answer: to protect our gold reserves. But after WTF happened in 1971, gold reserves were rendered extraneous and we needed to secure a more productive commodity instead: oil.
But since now everyone in the world has access to digital gold that can protect itself, the military industrial complex is functionally obsolete. The era of the petrodollar is over.
