Wouldn't it make more sense for #nostr conversation threads to branch out like a tree? Replies to replies would scroll vertically like we're all used to, but new branches to a conversation thread would branch out to the right (for L2R languages) and scroll horizontally. Of course you still view everything through the normal rectangular portal, you just scroll up/down through a continual convo, or right-left for branches.
