In case of OpenAI, Microsoft and Google, the whole shtick is "convince everyone that LLMs — which only gigantic companies can train and maintain — are somehow awesome and inevitable, scare lawmakers with 'superintelligence explosion' into regulating competition away, corner the market".
It's neither awesome nor inevitable.

I'd like to propose a term I believe might be useful:
"Shitflation" — like "shrinkflation", related not to shrinking of physical product's package size, but to enshittification of digital services. 💩
It does seem, doesn't it, that we're in a general shitflation cycle these days. 🤔
