Any suggestions on how to fix my DMs being displayed in different ways on Amethyst and on noStrudel? Same inbox/outbox relays on both apps. I don't even see replies sent on Amethyst when I check DMs on noStrudel later.

You have to ask the Germans. They pay for their garbage and the seperation of it. They even wash food containers and other packaging before they put it into the "yellow bag".
Monero is younger than Bitcoin and it doesn't have to compete with Bitcoin but rather co-exist. Ring signatures might not work for pegging BTC 1:1 on liquid but again, Monero doesn't have to peg against Bitcoin. At the end of the day it's just another currency and you either have use for it or you don't.
Would I swap my stack for Monero? Hell no!

I found that the "struggle" very much depends on the nostr client you recommend to other people. Some have a very good signup flow, others don't. Some do a great job in suggesting content and accounts to follow to new users, others don't. A persons first nostr experience will very much depend on the client recommended by you.
