@7d602a69 yeah as someone who doesn't really read much manga or watch anime too much I still found it really enjoyable. Genuinely sweet and full of friendship and fun? Yes. Silly? oh yes.
Woah, ok... cool. Wordpress ActivityPub integration. I might finally switch my portfolio website back to wordpress and integrate this. https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/
@dd9e40a8 yeah I use Procreate a lot as well. But for desktop applications #Krita really is nailing a lot of things for digital painting.
I haven't tried any of the Affinity apps but I've heard good things. They seem quite affordable which is nice, but I am a fan of open source so if there's an alternative there it's highly tempting.
After working almost exclusively in #Krita for digital painting for over a month now, when I jump into Photoshop it feels clunky and archaic.
PS still hits the spot for graphic design elements, but I think I just need to get to grips with GIMP hotkeys.
@8dc22fa9 Godot seems to support C# as well. I haven't tried it, but was just chatting to a friend that mentioned it to me so figured I'd pass the info on.
Procreate Dreams looks very very good. And for a proprietary app, selling for a once off price of $20 is pretty nice to see as well.
Maybe one day they’ll move out of the Apple ecosystem, but ah well.
Excited to try it out and maybe have some fun getting into animation again.
Another great reason for why Krita is better than Photoshop: You can freehand lasso select and transform multiple layers at once (using groups).
#Krita
I realised why I thought it wasn't a feature is it didn't act the same way as a layer which you'd expect. To transform multiple layers, when you make a selection you have to hit Enter after switching to the Transform tool to activate the transform on the Group. Then you can transform the selection as expected.
On a layer, you can just click in the selection to move it. I thought the Group would have acted the same way.

I don't think there's a feature like this in Krita (Experienced Krita artists correct me if I'm wrong), but I'd love to be able to freehand select/lasso select and area and transform multiple layers at once.
Photoshop doesn't have this ability, but it's something Procreate does which is fantastic and I've wanted every art program to have it now since I've used it. It's so useful.

Anyone else checked out the game Holstin? It's very cool. I hadn't heard anything about it until the demo came out this past week. I know there's 3D underneath it, but it really nails the pixel art look and reminds me of adventure games from the 90s in that regard. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2235430/Holstin/
