@43d7c4ea The point remains, that anything you think is “UK-based” would have a similar corporate structure. I am not a corporate oligarch myself, but I don’t imagine many of them identify very strongly with any nationality. Only capitalism.

@43d7c4ea Ok, I had to look it up. Brookfield Renewables, is owned by Brookfield Asset Management, which is owned by Brookfield Corporation, which appears to be divided amongst various large stock holders, such as banks and investment funds. So I guess it’s arguably mostly Canadian-ish, unless you want to go down the rabbit hole of who owns those banks and funds. It’s nearly impossible to determine who actually “owns” anything anymore, because it’s just shell corporations all the way down.

@f3257070 I preface this buy saying that I am the youngest, and had much older siblings. So I was often exposed to movies playing at home, that were not suitable for my age at the time. The Abyss is probably not very high on the scary movie scale, but I remember watching part of it with my sister, when I was like 7, and it scarred me for life. I stopped watching anything scary after that, and still don’t enjoy scary things to this day.
