I liked the early Aussie ones, they were genuinely brilliant.
Especially, the first affair that happened.
My wife still watches them and the latest UK one, but you can see the script which tires me, so I stopped watching a long time ago.
While she is watching these, I spend my time trying to understand more about everything.

My Bitcoin bank XAPO made me lie to confirm I don't invest a lot in crypto and I had to lie and state it is an extremely risky investment.
However that aside, it then told me about UMA (Universal Money Address)
https://www.uma.me/
It's like a Lightning address mike@mikehardcastle.com but for USD.
Is the fiat world copying us?
What is this, is it just lightning, or is it something built on top of lightning?
A closer look at how UMA uses the Lightning Network
UMA enhances LNURL and Lightning Addresses by including compliance messages and currency exchange features. This upgrade, along with the Lightning Network's fast settlement and Bitcoin's global reach, ensures affordable worldwide money transfers.
LNURL is a protocol that simplifies Bitcoin transactions over the Lightning Network, making them more user-friendly by enabling actions like payments and login without complex addresses.

I do, I really do.
I don't mean UMA, I mean you@yourdomain or you@yourorganisation
One address for communications, identity and payments.
Sure, most people will end up with the equivalent of a payment & identity hotmail address, but for me. I am mike@mikehardcastle.com
You want to communicate with me: mike@mikehardcastle.com
You want to find out who I am (NIP-05): mike@mikehardcastle.com
You want to pay me: mike@mikehardcastle.com
For me this is game changing.
This doesn't just separate money from the state it separates identity from the state.
And just like Bitcoin, it is for anyone, but not for everyone.
Also, it works equally well for those seeking anonymity.
For friends and family you are you@yourdomain
For online activity you are nym@privacydomain
Welcome 🫂
You will always know the people you follow because you store that on relays.
You will never really know your true follower count as this is based on client discovery across relays.
Here is a different view of your follower count:

If you look at some high count npubs like @jb55 you will see they have a follower count ranging from 2K to 1M depending on client.
This is a feature, not a bug 😂
It was actually a gift from my Scottish Father in law, who invested in them in the early 90's. He got 2 cases of Founders reserve bottles, which he distributed to the family in 2005.
I'm the only person left who hasn't drunk theirs, so I have to lock it up whenever my wives family visit 😂

Haven’t posted today as I’ve been in bed with a pulled muscle from having to lift suitcases due to my Cruise Butler staying on board the ship to serve a new master.
However fun fact learned from a YouTube video about Richard Feynman watched while recuperating is, Helium is the only element that doesn’t form a solid at absolute zero (-273 C)
Instead, below 2 Degs above absolute zero it becomes a superfluid and will leak through a ceramic or glass container and create a self sustaining fountain due to it having zero viscosity.
$35 dollars a day 😱
No booze? 😱
On another subject what tricks can you do?
Are you like the David Copperfield of the high seas?
Can you make your Cruise ship disappear? 😂
Despite Orange pilling my builder, he still insists on filthy fiat, so going to sell off some of my legacy shitcoins as I spent all my wife's filthy fiat on luxury cruises and boozy beach lunches just to satisfy the vicarious whims of @bitcoinsandy
I installed it on a VPS and ran it as a single instance.
That was a couple of months ago.
Loved it, but it would only show npubs and not NIP-05 and names 😔
GM
We have sunshine here too, which means our builder is able to paint, which means I have to pay him, which means I have to sell shitcoins.
So all is good 😂
Hey #devs if I zap myself, due to old age and senility, does anything actually happen?
Is there a round trip for the Sats, or do they just stay in the wallet?
