It was sometimes the case that when an Eastern European country was overtaken by the Nazis, the same soldiers that fought against them were forced to fight with them. As such many men fought on both sides during WWII.I don't know, but If thats the case here then its not surprising a spin was put on this guy fighting to push Russians out of Ukraine.
