@722f64aa @3e3ce96c @eb2f8f19 This may not be as clear cut as you're presenting it. It was sometimes the case that when an Eastern European country was overtaken by the Nazis, the same soldiers that fought against them were forced to fight with them. As such many men fought on both sides during WWII.I don't know, but If thats the case here then its not surprising a spin was put on this guy fighting to push Russians out of Ukraine.
@e52b3a77 Also, a bit of quantitative comparison between Ukrainian Nazi unit that everyone is talking about, and the respective Russian Nazi unit that nobody talks about following the focus of modern Russian propaganda: 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Galician) - 15-20’000 soldiers Russian Liberation Army (ROA) - 50’000 soldiers Statistically, you have 3x larger chance to meet a Russian Nazi unit veteran somewhere in the the West than an Ukrainian one. @722f64aa @3e3ce96c @eb2f8f19
