The #SunMicrosystems Network Disk protocol was a precursor to NFS that allowed block level access from diskless workstations to slices of servers' disks. #Suntember April 1, 1988: "Golf Course in Office" We remove a wall between Scott McNealy's and Bernie LaCroute's offices and install a par 4 dog-leg golf hole, complete with sand and water traps, putting green, and ball washer.
