 @c6d0060b Safe space yes, untill you start using mastodons not encrypted private messaging. Then this whole "safe" turn out to be not so much safe or even not safe at all. 🙃

 @d7f4cce1 @75cf6934 Yes, but people need some basic functionalities. Typing by hand hundreds of poi's okay, it is doable, but try to do it by yourself. Simple does not mean that something must be primitive.

 @d7f4cce1

Ad2. Okay, I haven't seen this anywhere. Thnx for the info.

Ad3. Even in the total darkness I can barely see anything on the screen. Black or dark-grey letters on the very dark backgrounds is a not an particularly wise or cool design idea. Even an amoled 6"+ screen size and full display brightness does not helps. The dark/night mode is still a piece of usability junk. Sorry, but it is as it is. Perhaps a bit different color palette would be a way better choice? Seems so.
 @d7f4cce1 I will gladly switch to the Organic Maps if they have few features I use daily.
1. On the bus stops/train stations there's no drive plan displayed.
2. There's no (or I just can't find it) option to easily import my data like points, favorites, etc from the g-maps.
3. Night mode is an unusable nightmare! I can't see anything at all when this option is turned on, on my amoled. I like and mostly use dark themes, modes because of my eyes, but this particular one is totally messed up.
 @98025892 There's nothing much you can do except for the replacing the whole display. Oem, new are cheap (20-40$) so this shouldn't be a problem. This first screen layer is an antireflective, antistatic surface. Those "bubbles" are signs and effects of the chemical reaction already started between the display layers. That is also a normal thing, because of and due to the age of the device. Replacing the part is fairly easy and doesn't take long. At the end you can put on it some protective glass.

Off course and as usual the Goa'uld didn't finish his job. 😉

 @771c7916 Yes, I know that. This is also called a crowd psychology which causes a very simple and efficient as well effects if properly maintained and done. That's why people are doing so.

 @771c7916 Well, if you only pay attention on the others what they does l, what they choose, how they live etc, you would be able to do anything on your own way. I never did that, so I can choose freely as I want, as is good for me personally. People should learn that. Otherwise they never be really free. That's a part of education, I was previously mentioned about.

 @771c7916 What I meant was an example of some of the oldest one from the IRC times. WebRTC is a piece of unsafe in many ways, privacy unfriendly junk.

 @771c7916 It is not a matter of what of them we should use, but a matter of wise choice. Education is a clou here. A proper, honest, true one. Lets educate the people instead of creating yet another bs app/protocol. Lets spend resources we have on this topic and lets wait a while for some decent effects.

 @771c7916 Choice yes, but not some shady one forcefully created, developed just now pseudo-standard, controlled by known for being very untrustworthy, user data hungry corporations. Besides we already have few open sourced, fully functional, tested, audited, proven to be safe and free ones. So, why not use them? Why yet another new one? Why adding another point to the whole big fragmentation of the communicator market? This doesn't make sense to me at all.

 @771c7916 Use simple xmpp protocol for all that. Mailing, chatting, creating some network communities, building pages and so on. It's a very versalite thing. Can be used without any problems. And years ago it was commonly used for that. Why not today? Because every corpo need to have their own, closed, incompatible, proprietary and preferably paid one? Ehh.. we already had all the tools and pieces since years for creating a normal user friendly networking. We are sadly way to stupid to use it.
 @771c7916 Sorry for the simple words, but they can literally kiss my bloody ass with their pseudo standards, meta-bullshit, and all the other crap they trying to force on users. Besides who normal will still use that thing anymore? Everything/anything under their brand is a piece of harvesting data, used for advertising junk.
