Wow. If the Baptist General Convention is calling out Abbott you know Abbott is vile.

“Earlier this week, members of the Baptist General Convention of Texas called out Abbott for violating constitutional laws that separate church and state when he called on religious leaders to use the pulpit to promote “School Choice Sunday” on October 15.”

Back in the 90s I taught Chairman Juan Mancias’ son his 7th grade biology at a local public school in Texas. Now this tribal leader of the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe is battling the border wall in Texas.

@46cd5609 I also see what you said about dosing. For some meds it needs to vary depending on the day. I know plenty of docs who are down with that because it’s true. Days where less medicine is needed happen. Just one day of less medicine can maintain efficacy so the need to increase dose over time doesn’t happen. I know that. Do you think a lot of people who need these medicines also know this and self moderate, too?
@46cd5609 Are they against ethanol extractions for certain medications? Because if they aren’t, they are inconsistent and, well, ridiculous. Ethanol and isopropranol are found as an active ingredient in oral, parenteral, and topical (including inhalational) prescription and nonprescription drug products.

@46cd5609 Making the leap from memorization to application, let alone building models with the information, seems to be hard when it shouldn’t be. Not in a research setting.

@46cd5609 Yeah, but let’s back it up even further to basic diffusion: molecules move from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration.

@46cd5609 Yes, exactly. University of Washington, Washington State. Thanks for helping me clarify the location. And yes, damn it I wish I could have recorded the interaction! They honestly did not realize why taking the swab outdoors was a safer option. I did my best to educate not escalate but I do feel like sending them a huge bill for my educational services and making them think outside the box. They are supposed to be a research institution.
Y’all I just had to metaphorically duke it out with #UWMedicine re not taking off my mask for the required pre-op bacterial swab of my nose and throat.

After telling them 3 ways they could keep me safe and collect the swab, a worker finally piped up that they are bringing back MASKS FOR EVERYONE in all their medical facilities starting October 1. So I’ll be returning for the swab, then, and they are going to let me bring my air purifier, too.

I walked into my doctor’s office just now and there’s a waiting room full of hacking, coughing, unmasked people. I’m wearing my P100 respirator with giant hot pink cartridges for particulates and organic pollution plus I’m using my upright Walker, Luke Mosswalker and I’m also wearing my skull tunic. The staff took one look at me and took me to an exam room in a wing unoccupied by other patients because I am scaring the other patients. #CovidIsNotOver #MaskUp
What is the best kitchen gadget ever invented and why is it the salad spinner?
@bb052609 Hand held blender for smoothies made with frozen berries not ice.
