If you start your "argument" with "what about muh people associating le evil paedophiles with trans folks" when all I read is why are you associating two oppressed minorities that might or might not share common traits in the way they experience modern society I will be dismissing whatever is your claim off the bat. This kind of stupid and baseless insight is not worthy of a reply from me. It should be more than obvious why the association exists, even if you find it quite distasteful (and if you do, you should be concerned with examining your own biases against both oppressed groups anyway as it is the one and only path towards genuine liberation, if there is to be any). Now get the fuck out of my face.
@Cosmia ★@a6642c96 I think fictional consumption and stuff and what you are can perhaps influence, but they can't exactly "cause" them. Similar to how a society permissive of consensual relationships won't create more paedophiles because of it but would channel and moderate the behaviour of the inhabitants. In other words, it's more complicated than "drawings leads to you doing this or that".
@Cosmia ★@a6642c96 I think a lot of these people just try to find something easy to blame stuff on, exactly the same way they choose to just blame us for "normalsing abuse" when CSA has always been a problem long before YAPs were even thought of as an oppressed population in the modern times.
@a6642c96 And in a vent post, of all places to bring a bullshit argument like that too. It reeked of victim blaming to me too, which is what bothers me most when people bring up shit like that in this context.
