We never got the official word from Apple, just observed that apps with an integrated wallet and the ability to perform in-app purcases of sats are allowed, per the approach pioneered by @current.
We are committed to making all feeds on all Primal clients as silky smooth as humanly possible. There is still a lot of room for improvement on all platforms.
Due to the constraints imposed by Apple, we are not able to support external wallets on iOS. We are, however, planning to continue to support external wallets on Android, via NWC.
Thank you. FWIW, Android development is not delayed by our iOS efforts. We work on those apps in parallel. We just started working on the Android app a couple of months later than iOS. It's coming along nicely though, and should be at feature parity in the coming weeks.
You can keep using Alby on the web and use Primal Wallet within our iOS app to send zaps. When it comes to receiving zaps, you can set your lightning address in your profile settings to either Alby or Primal - your choice. All these permutations should work.
Thank you!
Yes, the built-in wallet is coming to Android too for the full release (in a matter of weeks). Note however, that Android users will have the option to use an external wallet via NWC.
BIG NEWS: Primal for iOS is now live on the App Store.
This release comes with an integrated lightning wallet, ability to zap and get zapped, send & receive lightning payments, and buy small amounts of sats via an in-app purchase. I will talk in detail about our wallet approach soon.
We worked really hard to make the Nostr onboarding experience as smooth as possible, and give new users the ability to send and receive zaps without friction. Please try the app and let us know your thoughts! 💜🤙

No, Primal was never available through the F-Droid app store.
Now the good news: we are planning to add F-Droid app store support starting with next release. Stay tuned.
Primal for Android is now available on Google Play Store in open testing mode. Starting with today’s release, we will offer Play Store, APK, and source code downloads for each release. Please note: due to the way Play Store app signing works, upgrades will only work if you use the same install method.
This is a big milestone for us, as we march towards the full v1.0 release in the coming weeks. 💪

If a client deletes your relay list, it will disappear in all other clients. We can investigate to see if it was one of ours; somebody will reach out over DMs.
AFAIK, we don't have an issue with overwriting/deleting relays from the contact list, but happy to help troubleshoot this. Can you please let us know which Primal client(s) you are using (web/iOS/android)? Also, are you using other Nostr clients with the same nsec?
Hey just to clarify, we are not doing our own thing at Primal. We use NIP-02 contact lists. Planning to upgrade to NIP-65 for relay management in the near future.
Not through the Android app yet. You can setup your relays using the Primal web app (or iOS app) and those settings will be respected by our Android app. Planning to add support this within the Android app soon.
