It's strange observing these kinds of barriers. Time was: We groomed anyone who would take an interest in tech. Ignorant bias held us back at every juncture.
A memorable struggle over clothing catalog imagery going online actually hinged on showing sponsors how porn was already big business online. 1992-ish. 2B+D ISDN raged!
The most recent barrier: Ageism. Turns out respect and inclusion are perishable attributes based on hair color.

In my experience the C-Suite under invests in IT, particularly in preventative defenses.
The only way to hold them accountable is to build an informed investor community. This takes #news - Like @w7voa 's toot on the $15M that Caesar's paid.
The tragedy is that IT professionals get scapegoated.
The truth is it's entirely the fault of institutional financial sarvation of IT and deliberate C-Suite ignorance. which is actual malpractice.

The ransom issue reverberates so powerfully within my professional experience - taking unwise risks with IT is why I left top corporate jobs for being a privateer.
The C-Suite refuses invest adequately in precaution. This remains the primary issue affecting vulnerability.
What I **hate** is that the Technology folks get blamed. It's entirely the fault of corporate financial leadership. You could hold them responsible. #News is the only vehicle to expose their malpractice.

Trust I'm just missing the configuration settings.
I've connected my GHS (gmail) account in Vivaldi. And I can't see how to sort the daily influx of messages into the "Categories" I'm used to seeing (Inbox, Social, Promotions, Updates, Forums.)
Would you direct my attention to where/ how I can accomplish bringing these over?
I want to stay off of gmail, but filtering my volume of messages without categorization puts me at risk of inadvertently missing or deleting important stuff.
We're headed to the Old Town Waterfront to watch climate refugees enjoy the breeze coming off the ocean. They've traveled more than 100 miles to get here. (I5 is 91 miles.) Most didn't bring warm clothes. And so they become honorary members of the #PacificBlueCrew for a day. Water temp is about 50F and air over the docks, maybe 60.
