In my experience the C-Suite under invests in IT, particularly in preventative defenses.

The only way to hold them accountable is to build an informed investor community. This takes #news - Like @w7voa 's toot on the $15M that Caesar's paid.

The tragedy is that IT professionals get scapegoated. 

The truth is it's entirely the fault of institutional financial sarvation of IT and deliberate C-Suite ignorance. which is actual malpractice.

 @bf6fd9e8 underinvestment is definitely a problem. The C Suite needs to see their data and the people and systems that protect it as business assets rather than cost centers.
