... anyway, ok, plastic is bad and everything.
But right now I'm giving an IV to my cat and idly wondering how many lives plastic actually saved...
How many medical equipments, part of our advanced medical system, are made of plastic? Didn't exist before plastic? Wouldn't be possible without plastic?
I never thought of this before...
Picù update.
The ultrasound went well!!!
There is no permanent liver damage!
She simply has an incredibly small liver, which is probably part of the reason she had this episode of acute liver disease.
So...she'll probably be fine.
We need to give her antibiotics, lots of fluids, food and a long list of medicines...
We have a tough couple of weeks ahead of us.
But it could have been much worse, so I'm happy.
Update about my cat Picù.
The blood tests results are bad.
As in "out of scale values" sort of bad.
I'm heartbroken.
Heartbroken is an understatement.
I love my Picù and she loves me back since the day I found her abandoned and feverish and starving to death, 9 years ago.
And she doesn't even seem sick.
I insisted with the vet that I wanted her visited and the x-ray because something seemed off, but I couldn't really put my finger on what because it was more a feeling than anything...
