How the fuck is there no #dril repost bot on #nostr?
Call me a basic bitch, but that is the only good thing Twitter has ever created. Along with @horse_ebooks.
I don't know... too many imagine how can anarchism replace our huge countries and their governments. An anarchist society is a little larger than a tribe. The question stops being how do you defend from the United States of America and rather how do you defend this anarchist neighbourhood.
It depends what kind of anarchism you are looking for. Even though I do not have a profile with laser-eyes, I like Bitcoin because it will prove in the long run to be more stable than most fiat currencies, thus undermining the hold governments have on people.
The Internet itself is a medium, it's neutral, though being able to exchange ideas unrestrained is core to Anarchism. As long as we stick to open protocol, and we do not centralise our digital existence.
I am more and more convinced that the Internet is a net negative for discourse and human socialisation, and no one is really exploring this possibility. We are all trying to make the social media experiment work and I am horrified by its result. The more we tweak and add to it (upvotes, user moderators, likes, retweets, the Algorithm), the worse it gets.
We're so used to the fast pace of modern science that we forget cultural evolution sometimes takes hundreds of years. What if we are 500 years before enough Internet philosophers have taught us how to behave online?
