it took me like 2 minutes to buy a set of Kinder Chocolate bars because I don't really know well how to use a card and Walmart still doesn't accept NFC payments.
So uhh... does #grapheneos allow for a lot of customization out of the box like LineageOS does? like, can you change the app icons and stuff?
Also, what do a lot of the included apps look like? I cant find that many pictures of them online and I want to see them so I can determine if they look nice enough to use.
I still have the old strap that came with mine. But I'm also starting to think that maybe it's time to sell this thing and consider looking at getting a PCVR set with birthday and Christmas money. Even though I really wanted a steam deck.
every time I see someone make a flyer in VR with a QR code. I kind of laugh a little bit because like, how am I supposed to scan it with my headset on?
that should be something Apple addresses with the Apple Vision Pro (mainly because that seems like something they would do). an ability to read an apps output to detect QR codes. Because honestly, how are we supposed to do URLs in VR? I mean, we could put them under buttons. But still
idk who needs to hear this but you probably don't need a 3rd party QR reader app. Most devices have QR scanning functionality built into the camera app itself.
Like then, the only option if you don't use chrome to install progressive web apps is to add them to your home screen. Where at least, on a lot of different launchers, you can't search them in the app drawer. It's almost like iOS really, except in iOS, You can just add them to the home screen, hide the pages with them on it. And then you can search them in spotlight or the app library
Third party launchers in Android are starting to become increasingly more annoying from the amount of changes in Quickstep (the internal name of the app switcher).
It's even worse on tablets with the taskbar
PWA's on Android are frustrating. The only decent way to install them is to use chrome. After which any apps you install through it then proceed to ignore your default browser preferences and still use chrome.

I literally just want to get back read receipts and high quality media when texting my parents, but they would prefer to use an outdated standard just so they don't have to switch apps.
I'm tired of being the smart one in my family. The smart one who feels like they're constantly being perceived as a raging lunatic that's constantly changing the goalposts. I'm tired of having to stop them all from making bad decisions because if I don't then those decisions will inevitably trickle back down to me.
I'm really frustrated at the fact that it's hard to get people to care about E2EE messaging and literally any other form of messaging that is superior to SMS. solely because "that would require using another app"

Trying to make a haptic android ringtone like the Pixel and Nothing ringtones. Apparently you can do so via Audacity by setting an ANDROID_HAPTIC value to 1 and I'm guessing having some very specific conditions that I have yet to figure out.
trying to decide whether I should suggest matrix or signal to my family.
Signal has a more mature client, but Matrix seems to be a bit more convenient in that it supports SSO on matrix.org
I'm tired of these kinds of things made towards children that are meant to completely supplant the experience of using a electronic device towards one that favors constant engagement and a dumbed down interface that will leave children unprepared for the real world
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.kids.home
like, It's the fact that these kinds of things are specifically built towards "I need a break from parenting, so I'm just going to turn this on and give this to my kid and let some tablet babysit for me instead"
