Have you noticed how hot the base of led bulbs get? Especially the cheaper ones. I'm convinced that the converter to get from 120vac to whatever dc the led needs is at least as inefficient as the incandescent itself.

Semantics. It may be technically true that UOA requires all prices to be denominated in said currency (I don't actually know the definition). But if you personally hold your wealth in Bitcoin, the prices will go down for you.

It doesn't matter to me what the UOA is. It can be USD or gold or seashells. If my purchasing power continues to rise by holding what I value, that is all that matters to me.
Is there an argument for why it is important to have the actual UOA be Bitcoin (or USD whatever)? Isn't this just a sort of collective agreement to simplify international commerce?

The more adoption in a local economy provides resiliency as things continue to go tits up. If a local economy has complete adoption, then the locals can survive autonomously with little outside interaction.

Had a great couple of days spending some quality time with the kiddos.
At first I was a little down as I had to cancel some fun plans to take them to various events. Luckily one of my buddies who I was canceling on reminded me,

Does anyone have tutorial for side loading the Bitcoin app on a ledger nano s?
I've been trying to use the ledgerblue python thing but the readme on GitHub is not enough for me to middle through it.
Not impossible, but unlikely. Guns don't depreciate too much. They pretty much last forever so usually $50-$100 off from retail is what you find.
What you might be able to find is something more like $400 but get more than $100 worth of ammo and magazines and holster etc. thrown in. That's your best bet for a deal.
Another "issue" is the Glock 19 is like the most popular handgun in the world so it holds value better than most.
If you want cheap Glock, best bet is a police trade in glock22. They are less popular .40cal and full size instead of compact like 19.
But there are millions of them because basically every PD in the US used them, then switched back to 9mm a few years ago and dumped them all cheap.
