@a9012b08 I end up spending some time UNCHECKING things. Nope I don't want materials. No this models doesn't have animations. No lights, no this, no that...
Seriously, there is SOMEONE that uses the embedded materials of 3D files for game development?

...
@a9012b08 NOPE. Why would anyone do that? 😋
In my eyes, chronic illness is a good pathway to strong dependency if you are not careful.

Alway...
@a9012b08 not an easy path you've been given, but if someone can win with the hand they've been dealt, it's you 💪
Long story short: Unity has lost millions this last years because they never accomplish their pro...
@a9012b08 and their stock price has even risen a bit. I would like to see how the graph looks a year from now...
My hot take: glTF adoption is so slow because it does a lot of things people don't need it to do....
@a9012b08 we wanted to use glTF in our current game, but it has the issues you mention, it's still not worse than FBX, but not much better either... ugh.

@a9012b08 We're already working on a Unity game, so we'll have to push through. And our released games don't seem to be affected, but it sucks nonetheless.

They'll probably backpedal a bit, as there are a lot of edge cases that need to be addressed, like F2P games.

We'll have to wait for their official response on every case but it's weird. A royalty % like Unreal would be easier to understand.

Too many bad decisions for the las 8-9 years, around when the latest CEO entered 😓

@eb948c00 I'm not a fan of Terraria, it's just not for me, but this move sets an amazing example.
