I just heard a brand new argument for using #twitter (eggs / axe, whatever it is called now).

it goes like this: twitter is not making any profits, but it costs money to run. so everyone who actually uses the service, is making #Musk poorer.

While it is an enticing line of argument, my mental health is worth much more for me than to make Elmo infinitesimally less rich, when he can burn a lot of his own wealth without my sacrifices.
Now that I familiarized myself a bit with Ardour and pipewire, I managed to get a nice little set up here for me to work on some music.

The abundance of great resources on sound design and mixing is just mind boggling, and the fact that I can practice this art in front of a PC at home, running fee software is something really cool, that people born after 2000 will probably never appreciate properly.

@aliss I guess the days of the Linux desktop are numbered.
I'll keep saying it until it goes away, if you're going to reference something that happened on t...
@3c667485 this is kind of like the situation of "source: I vaguely remember reading it somewhere some time ago".
Want to send a message to someone on a platform where it's more usual to post publicly? A message...
@1c3e335f I think it's appropriate, when the message isn't really private (like on Mastodon, where the message is not encrypted in the database, similar to public posts).
Using electron app for notes feels like using microwave oven for a timer.
@123e16e8 in the late 90's one of my friend's family microwave oven had a timer, and when he told me he'd time some game with the microwave oven, I was like "you'll put in some food just to time the game?", and he was like... "no, no, we can just use it as a timer"...

So yeah.
