I just heard a brand new argument for using #twitter (eggs / axe, whatever it is called now).
it goes like this: twitter is not making any profits, but it costs money to run. so everyone who actually uses the service, is making #Musk poorer.
While it is an enticing line of argument, my mental health is worth much more for me than to make Elmo infinitesimally less rich, when he can burn a lot of his own wealth without my sacrifices.
Now that I familiarized myself a bit with Ardour and pipewire, I managed to get a nice little set up here for me to work on some music.
The abundance of great resources on sound design and mixing is just mind boggling, and the fact that I can practice this art in front of a PC at home, running fee software is something really cool, that people born after 2000 will probably never appreciate properly.

@1c3e335f I think it's appropriate, when the message isn't really private (like on Mastodon, where the message is not encrypted in the database, similar to public posts).
@123e16e8 in the late 90's one of my friend's family microwave oven had a timer, and when he told me he'd time some game with the microwave oven, I was like "you'll put in some food just to time the game?", and he was like... "no, no, we can just use it as a timer"...
So yeah.
