@0e1a2ef0 That's lovely, John.  The little passage of firefly like light that winds through it in the bottom right quarter is a great idea. 

 @0e1a2ef0 That’s turned out really well, John.  A lovely stylised piece. There’s a mood to it that puts me in mind of some of Tove Jansson’s illustrations 

 @0e1a2ef0 I make countless irretrievables, John.  In fact the whole act is a negation of possibles (choice by any other word).  I haven't tried on wood yet, but will do.  I think the hardest thing with lettering is the concentration, which has to be full on.  Just done these four letters and I've had to take a break.  Your task looks harder though, but I'm sure you'll pull it off.

 @0e1a2ef0 Nice one, John.  It looks like a great piece to work on -- lots of tone to it.  Over the border I'm back on the lettering (the flames half black on white and half white on black)
