Yes. I used to visit an imageboard and men there really actually believed that women will reject them for their eye color, wrist size, epicanthus, teeth etc. They also thought that alpha and omega are real things and that men are born as one and can't change their "status". When I said that it's just upbringing they were in utter disbelief. 

 I don't doubt that for a second...being on the internet too much really skews reality to most people.
