Trying to get Display Link working with @4d1b32f3 is proving to be something of a nightmare. I couldn't get the drivers to install at all on Debian, I suspect some issue with the kernel. I could get them to install and work on Ubuntu but it made my main monitor lag like crazy. I suppose there will be some merit to trying Fedora and Arch too, so I'll try that soon.

From all I've read about the "newer variant", it generally works best in Ubuntu.
