 It may seem obvious to those who have been on Nostr for a long time what #zaps are, but explaining that zaps are Bitcoins that come from lightning networks to those who have never heard of Bitcoin is not as simple as it seems also because in the paradigm you have to include what lightning networks are.

Let alone then explain that some zaps can also be Bitcoins that come from lightning that come from e-cash... 🤯

 I only go as far as "hey it's just bitcoin" and they can figure everything out themselves.

 It isn't critical for everyone to understand all of the ins and outs of sats and bitcoin just like everyone doesn't have to understand all of the details of how electricity is generated and distributed.

The important thing is that sats are money that can't be stolen and won't be devalued away.  All the other details are nice to know but not critical to know.
