Everything I’m hearing out of China (from actual Chinese speakers/readers with friends and family there) is that China is imploding in real time. Far faster than the Western world. But they hide things well because of their expertise in propaganda and their reliance on how NOBODY in the West reads or speaks Chinese.
Bonds bought between '10 and '22 are heavily under water at the moment. It doesn't make sense to sell them now at a massive loss. Maybe this chart is just reflecting the fact that many of the purchased bonds lost up to 60% of their $ value.
