Munching on turks cap berries. Been having lots of them this year. They are not very sweet, but i like em. #grownostr #gardening #permies #homesteading https://nostrcheck.me/media/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/f9dba776cf220a5f5bc9a544cd17860e1b1128ce9f97942e1b7f0ecd19d541c9.webp https://nostrcheck.me/media/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/edb4d63f69c34fa1acc4125b20c94c585e814b60d593ed4ba7334c2a69ac8e59.webp
We learned about this on a group hike, the same one we learned about beauty berries on, and then noticed a plant by where we park to walk the kid to school. He and I snagged a fruit and munched it on our walk. Not bad.
The hummers love the red flowers too.
Yes!! I'm hoping my lantana will pop off again with the rain we've been getting.
Yeah i noticed my lantana has started putting on blooms after the rain. I'm just happy to have tolerable temps this year, compared to the hellish summer we had last year.
It was awful wasn't it. We were in Canyon Lake over spring break visiting caves around there and it was bad then drought wise, can't imagine over the summer.
