@jb55 The other day @befire tipped me 50k Sats. I received the notification on Damus but the transaction never came through to the ln address I had listed in my profile. @Wallet of Satoshi looked into this and It turns out these sats were sent to a former ln address which had been replaced months ago in my profile. I believe somehow when she tipped my profile an old ln address was triggered (not the address I had linked in my profile). I’m pretty sure I lost at least one other transaction. Does any of this make sense to you? Have you heard of this happening before? Is it possible when she used the ln tip feature that somehow information on my ln address reverted on her client to older information that had been replaced in my profile months ago? Am I just bad at this? 🤣
Happened to me too. One workaround you can do no is, un-install Damus (save nsec somewhere) and reinstall again. Go to your profile and update it. Then go and add wss://nostr.mutinywallet.com (broadcasts to all online relays) and update profile again. Wait a bit for queued notes/updates to be sent to relays. 🐶🐾🫡
@damus @jb55 hope you guys have time to take a look at this. i just wanted to send some sats to Xiaolin after hearing the news of his beautiful baby girl. 😞🥺 nevertheless, thank you so much for everything you guys are working on. ✨
It’s not strictly a problem with the client, per se. The stale profile information may remain in some relays that could be fetched and used by any client. I’ve updated my own profile many times and I still get zaps on my WoS that I haven’t used for months. If anything, the way protocol dictates the implementation is the issue here. 🐶🐾🫡
Its a problem in damus testflight where it fails to fetch newer versions of profiles. I am fixing it.
