Oddbean new post about login | logout i cant seem to get the emoji picker to open the new emojis on amethyst on a new device. had it set up on my old one but not sure how to do it again now. when I click Add to my emojis they are not showing up anymore after long pressing the react button, only the default ones do. Wondering if there is a lag or something or how it connects?

its not for my npub actually but for another pleb. and I can see their installed packs on vercel app but not in their amethyst. I had the same issue not too long ago when I got my new phone. Maybe it takes time for the relays to populate it?
Nah it’s probably a caching issue with Amethyst. Either that or maybe Amethyst has some kind of settings for custom emojis. I’ve never used Amethyst so I’m just guessing. You can try using another client such as Nostrudel to see if your custom emojis load.
well i got it working after some delay on my own new device so im hoping it appears for their device soon too. unfortunately nostrudel doesn't have an app

to clarify, I already use nostrudel on desktop and have for a long time. The problem being discussed about mobile moji reacts on a friends instance of amethyst. I would not feel comfortable telling them to use nostrudel through a mobile browser and having to paste their nsec that way lol
ok figured it out. had to do it over desktop with getAlby / Nos2X extension which was missing on the mobile device for obvious reasons. All good now :)
