It doesn't matter regardless. Don't trust any one person.
Trust the code and the underlying math. If it checks out as a closed mathematical system and is properly implemented, then that's it. That's essentially all you need. (With implemented here, I mean everything to get the program running on your system. And essentially also a reliable system.)
