Hong Kong man dies during scuba dive trip to South Africa ========== A 50-year-old Hong Kong man died while scuba diving in Gqeberha city, South Africa. The man lost consciousness and despite resuscitation efforts, he was declared dead. The Chinese consulate in Cape Town confirmed the deceased was a Hong Kong ID holder. The South African National Sea Rescue Institute received a report about the unconscious tourist and transferred him to their rescue station where paramedics continued with CPR. The cause of death is under investigation by South African police. The Hong Kong Immigration Department is in contact with the man's family and the Chinese consulate to provide assistance. Hong Kong Underwater Association diving division director Kelvin Kam Sheung-hang stated that South Africa is not a popular destination for scuba divers due to its high cost and lack of underwater attractions.
