@abc7c997 DK. I had to get an external drive over the weekend, emergency situation, so went to Best Buy. They had exactly two on the shelf and one open-box Thunderbolt 3 cable that was in the database as new. If the warehouses are full it's because they aren't stocking the shelves at retailers. 

 @34b3698a if I was a retailer I'd be embarrassed to set the prices they're setting. Add to that the rampant retail theft, maybe they're asking themselves "what's the point in stocking items more likely to be stolen than purchased?"  Could be chip shortages to blame for electronics though.
