You’re right about that. And I think many of them, like me, realized it too late - which would not be smart at all, to throw it away, and get a new one, for that reason.

Exactly! I myself use an iPhone that no longer receives an update, the X. What I will only do the exchange, when it really stops working.
A detail for those who are not very interested in how important privacy is, they use Apple devices for fashion and for ego (which I particularly find ridiculous).
But this is the truth of society in general. Many here in Brazil reside in places in extreme need of improvement, but their dream is to have a newer iPhone; instead of comfort and quality of life in their home/leisure/food.
