Yeah I did it when my son was born. No regrets. You need some savings or an income stream. Take some time to unwind, take care of your family, explore hobbies. But not too much time. I get antsy if I don't have a mission and plan to execute. If you're like me, you should get back to work when the anxiety sets in.
Also, don't quit your job at the start of a bear market. :)
