They now want to change the core protocol to cancel up to 50% of the nostr user base.

The whole point of nostr is that you cant be cancelled by a central authority.  FFS.

 Reading the issue https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/1398 it's a nothing-burger. @Magister Michael Dilger M.Sc. 's final comments there suggest nobody actually should have an issue.
