@62a04c04 as a native Texan, I assure you that this is a result of several things: 1. all the Nays are as crooked or want to be as Paxton and know they can now; 2. trump backed Paxton all the way because Paxton tried to help trump with his election lies, which COULD still get Paxton in deep kimchi ((would love to see him as one of the unnamed co-conspirators that Jack Smith is going after in the election fraud case)). 3. the message is that any Republican can get away with any criminal activity that they care to do. Big crime in Texas Republican politics is OK. that's the message. carry on
