An-archon, no-ruler. Insane how many times I have to explain this to normies. https://image.nostr.build/d39bcceb8934532275b3654a7adf3770e35a4a7db7c925e0de51172971f220b8.jpg
Anarchy gives rise to brutal rulers and feudal states so once again humanity as a whole loses.
We don’t need to go back to a whole vacuum of power. We actually have rules, rules to transact value and they work, without the interference of anyone else.
To take this and make rules that coordinate our social life can be complex. But the possibility increases with subsequent technologies like the internet, torrents, bitcoin, nostr.

We can have rules without rulers.
Is not just about chaos.

Or I’m very naive, believing people have learnt from the past and will use technology for the good of others and everyone.

I choose to believe.
And having a belief is fine. I myself wish that the world could live together in peace and harmony, but ever since homo erectus trekked out of the savannah in Africa and formed family tribes they have warred against each other and against other species for food and other resources in order to establish dominance for "their" tribe.

Sadly nothing has changed. Once any particular tribe has gained power they will never willingly give it up.

IMHO the best way forward is for you and your tribe to live as free from government overreach using agorist principles as much as you can.

An honest reading shows that there is a lot wrong with this article that I have neither the time or inclination to address.
Mmm yes... It must come down to honesty...that must be it
Please share an example of this.
Put on your seatbelt, it's coming: Somalia, Haiti and the Mexican drug traffickers
 😂
But does it really? In areas where only a few are armed, possibly. In areas where everyone is armed? Nope. Not even close.
The effusion of arms matters little. Most people need and rely on the power structure of some type of governing body to regulate behavior and keep things orderly. They WANT to be controlled and protected. Look what has happened to the USA. It went from a Constitutional Republic to a Banana Republic with a ridiculous level of governance in only a few generations.

If 1000 like minded individuals could form a peaceful society on a desert island with an abundance of resources, I guarantee you that they would be invaded and would either have to kill to defend themselves or be killed and assimilated into the new population.
 I disagree.

The vast majority of people in the US really do just want to be left on their own.

I reject the notion that governance is needed.

1000 armed people voluntarily working to build and defend a mostly contiguous section of land would be formidable enough to stave off nearly anything short of carpet bombing.
I think the REAL roadblock is APATHY. I do think most people want to be left alone to live how they want without hurting others.. but the incentives are in place so that going along to get along is the best option for normies. It's like politics.. people are deliberately uninformed because it isn't worth their time to be informed. It is in that sense that I see the statement "most people want a government" to be true - in the real Austrian sense because normies economize their time in passive support of the state.
I obviously also reject the need for a state
Anarchism, to me, means not only the denial of authority, not only a new economy, but a revision of the principles of morality. It means the development of the individual as well as the assertion of the individual. It means self-responsibility, and not leader worship. Voltaire
