In fact, I agree with you about versioned long-form. I'm not even defending the way it was done.

I guess all I wanted is my friends on Damus to see that a random comment was a reply to an article. Even showing in the UI "replied to an article" would be helpful for them. But if you don't want to do it, that's perfectly fine by me.
