"Why do you use such an old computer at work? Why do you use Linux?" The simple answer is that my 15-year-old ThinkPad running GNU/Linux is faster than the office computer they bought last year. I don't have pop-ups from HP Smart, Lenovo Vantage, and McAfee bringing me to a halt every five minutes.

 Oh McAfee is the bane of my work existence. Whenever a script or playbook fails, 50% of the time McAfee jumped in the way to stop progress.
