 Fuck that — better to just see if I can figure it out, probably make the problem worse and then give up. Manual is too confusing, and I don’t have the patience for a video.

 It depends on the season of life.  I've had periods that I have more time than money and I've had periods that I have more money than time.  It depends what your time is worth.  Could you earn more money doing something else or is there something else more important to do that isn't directly money related (time with family, etc.)

I agree that lots of people are lazy and don't try to figure things out that could save them a huge amount of money (and frequently they then complain about how broke they are).  At the same time, there are times that it makes sense to pay the money so you can put your mind and time into something more important.
