I would guess that Google built something to crawl Bluesky content, access their API, and add it to their index.
Either Google decided that they are relevant enough or Bluesky lobbied Google to add it.
Bluesky is becoming the social layer of the mainstream internet, like it or not.
Absolutely agree there. As X becomes state media, Bluesky will continue to grow.

I don't think it can benefit from that unless people that use Bluesky find issues with it. Most people don't care about the underlying technology. They just want their technology to work and fade into the background.
