On iOS I use nostore. Get from App Store. You have to use safari. I never put Maeve in anything except Damus

Shit looks like I got a bit of a learning curve ahead of me, I haven’t even heard of Maeve yet…just got my little old nsec generated in Damus & put into primal also, trying to be careful not to spread it around too much.

I’m guessing nostore or nsec or amber are key management tools like the browser extensions Alby only better opsec since not in browser.

Feel free to ignore me I’m processing all this out in the open 🤣 🤣happy to get into some research about all this tomorrow
That was a typo mate. Maeve….was meant to be nsec somehow
 👍
I do pretty much the same using Nostore on iOS and only using my nsec directly in Damus. I’ve got a complete separate nsec that I use just for testing other clients etc so if it ends up somhow compromised I haven’t lost my main account.
Sounds like a good approach…so besides Damus you’re just putting nsec into nostore & that authorises any nostr apps that support whatever NIP nostore is using?
Yeah Nostore works for web apps using Safari. I think if you want to use another native iOS client (e.g. the Primal or YakiHonne app) then you still need to use your private key directly.
You guys are legends appreciate all the help with this 🙏🏽🍻
Check out Orion browser. It lets you install Firefox and Chrome extensions 🤩 https://kagi.com/orion/
100% testify that orion is awesome so far! It's the only iOS browser that lets you install both FF and Chrome extensions! giving you access to every single nostr enabled website through:
Nos2x for chrome
Nos2x-fox for firefox
(Can use either on Orion tho!)

Once you've thrown your nsec into the nos2x extension, check out https://nostrapps.com and be blown away. I personally use Nostrudel but there are dozens! Pick your flavour 😝
I haven’t used nostr on pc, iOS only, got my nsec into nostore and used it to sign into nostr web app on safari. Does Orion pretty much achieve same thing as doing that, or is it different functionality / support?
