@92f75699 @1b783a6b I know that Podchaser shadows us because I’ve put canary feeds in to the Index and they’ve showed up there consistently.
@92f75699 @1b783a6b At Podcast Movement last year I asked an Acast executive in the hallway why they bought Podchaser. He said “because they are the biggest podcast directory in the world” as he’s walking by not wanting to even stop.

Funny how he doesn’t know that most of the feeds in the product he paid millions for came from someone called “The Swedish Trickler” that he’s never even met.

Another example of how FOSS gives and big tech just always takes.
@fce803cc @92f75699 heh, I'm about one level of separation from that guy, have a friend working as developer at Acast .. :)
@1b783a6b @92f75699 I should have just handed him your paypal address and said you'd bill him. 😉
@fce803cc @1b783a6b A dumb answer from them. They bought Podchaser for competitive analysis (it has consumption data from a few podcast apps and services), and as a planning tool for potential buyers.

"Why did they buy RadioPublic" is another question. Clearly an aqui-hire; but RP has been in bugfix-only mode for years now. I wish they'd open the source of the player.
