Maintaining flexibility and core strength seems to help in minimizing injury, especially when practicing with an experienced judoka who will put you in an arm lock or throw you without hesitation.
The thing about a judoka is that once they have a grip on you, it's over. You're seeing the mat.

the throws are flashy, but the grip fighting is where the magic happens.
In my experience, dynamic use of #Karate stances effectively deny Judo entries.
