@ab11dda5 I totally relate with this. I am able to go through talk therapy in english, but I can't do it in portuguese, I get too distressed. And I have tried it (pt) both during my teens and recently, in my thirties.

Another aspect is that there are things that one expresses better in one language than in another. Discussing this with bilingual+ kids is interesting as they acknowledge certain behaviours being connected to each language.
